A JDM hot hatch from the 90’s that earned the reputation of being a hooligan...
Imprezas & Evos always seemed to rule the roost back in the day, they were the natural go-to for someone wanting a rally car for the road. The GTi-R wasn't synonymous with rallying in the same way as the Evo & Impreza but make no mistake, this was a car lusted by many a petrol head!
Perhaps viewed as a left field choice to your average JDM enthusiast the GTi-R has a strong cult following which continues to expand, deservedly so!
We really have to thank the world of rallying for its existence. In order for Nissan to enter their car into the WRC, Group A rules stated that a minimum number of these cars had to be produced, 500 of which were homologation models... The turbocharged 2.0L SR20DET unit with 227bhp & 210lb⋅ft mated to an ATTESA all-wheel drive system gives this little hatch immense real world capability.
Now, if you ever thought the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R needed spicing up you’ll be sharing the same thoughts as the new owner of this freshly imported example. Brought over from Japan earlier this year via our Personal Import service, they wanted to create something a little bit more special and unique to their tastes.
You've probably noticed the very rally-esque set of Compomotive TH2 wheels it's wearing, look fantastic don't they!
Behind the wheels sits a KSport big brake kit identified by the enormous yellow calipers.
In the cockpit, you'll find a Nismo steering wheel because who doesn't love authentic Nismo bits? A non-reflective, flocked dash has been applied - A promising hint that this car isn't just going to sit in a garage.
So that's wicked looks and serious stopping power covered...
To make sure you hear this thing coming, a Pro Race Cat Back Exhaust has been fitted along with an HKS Sequential Blow Off Valve, HKS Air Filter & Blitz dual SBC Boost Controller.
Finally, a set of JIC Coilovers help it sit lower with a more aggressive stance... what a thing!
We'll just let the images do the rest of the talking, drink in the 90s JDM goodness...
