Truly epic out of the box! As heralded by the world's press and all who have piloted one, the FK8 has held the crown as being one of, if not the best driving models in the hot hatch sector. Believe the hype, from behind the wheel the FK8 is simply glorious!
Here at Torque GT we’re also massive fans, having owned our very own FK8 since buying new in 2019. Purchased with every intention to modify utilising high quality parts from our Torque Parts armoury, our mission being to push this amazing machine on a little or perhaps a lot! It quickly transpired a few quality tweaks here and there was all it really needed. See Project FK8 parts one, two & three for the full journey.
The used FK8 market remains strong with great residuals which is often the case for Honda models. 1st, 2nd, 3rd owners benefiting from a strong belief in the brand and its reputation for reliability, quality of construction and the allure of that Type R heritage.
Here at Torque GT we’ve decided it’s time to part with our beloved FK8, making way for something new which will be teased in good time!.
Having added a seriously tasty array of parts from the likes of Fujitsubo, Hybrid Racing, PRL Motorsports & GruppeM, we feel we’ve nailed just the right balance without taking things too far

As a TGT project car we’ve invested circa 10k on development. Originally we wrapped it from new in matt black, which has done a fine job of protecting its glorious Champ Whiteness!
Displayed proudly as our ‘Kuro’ car (meaning Black in Japanese) on the TGT Japfest stand in 2019, it was alongside enviable stablemates such as the 400R and a well known Liberty Walk Kitted Honda S660!
As part of the TGT fleet, we’ve all grown really fond of it. Used sparingly (ish!) hence the fantastic and super low mileage, reading only 11,293 miles! Many of you that have collected vehicles over the last few years will have been picked up in this car by Darren or Jamie… the challenge was trying to get the keys back when they returned.
We’ve professionally removed the wrap revealing the Iconic Championship White paint beneath - We made the executive decision to leave the wrap on the roof as we liked the two tone look, tying in with some of the other contrasting elements.
With a fresh MOT and a new set of tyres fitted, this 2019 Honda Civic Type R GT is ready to be passed to its next custodian. Keep your eyes peeled on the showroom.
