PD vs SD - What's the difference?
PD type + 6 slot = SD type

Slots shave the surface of brake pads with every rotation.

DIXCEL recommends reverse rotation (slots pointing forward) for best brake performance, although forward rotation can be chosen on the condition that the inside vane is not directional.
