However, there is another, which is arguably one of the most practical and sensible performance Hondas in the JDM scene. We're talking about the Honda Accord Euro R, in particular the CL7 generation.
It may look like a relatively normal saloon but its unassuming presence is somewhat deceiving because under the skin is DC5 Integra Type R running gear, the same K20a VTEC screamer, 6 speed manual & limited slip differential. With 220bhp on tap it also benefits from four doors and a big boot... the Euro R is a fantastic proposition for a family friendly, do it all, fun daily.
Spotted in Japan, we've seen this lovely facelift, 2007 car with just 45,000km on the clock. Priced at ¥2,479,000 JPY (£16,239 GBP), this is the higher end of the market but being a facelift with exceptionally low mileage its surely worth every penny.
Finished in Honda's iconic Milano Red is another big positive as you rarely see a Euro R in this colour. Another little extra is the Mugen rear spoiler, which is bound to gather appeal...
