During hard cornering it is possible for the engine to suffer low oil pressure due to oil starvation. This is caused by the lateral G forces pulling oil in the sump away from the pickup. To combat this, Spoon's replacment sump add's specially designed baffle plates to a genuine Honda sump, reducing the movement of the oil to ensure it stays where it's needed.
The Installation of a baffled oil pan is highly recommended when the vehicle is being used regularly on track. All Spoon Baffled Sumps include a replacement sump gasket and HAMP oil filter.
