Not so long ago we asked the question "Is The Honda S660 The Greatest Kei Car Ever Made?"... and we still believe it makes a compelling argument as one of the happiest cars in existence! Infact the S660 makes us smile so much, we couldn't resist doing a feature on another that we imported for a recent Personal Import customer.

This time around, we have a blue one, a very blue one and the sun was shining so with little convincing we dropped the roof and explored some moorland roads. Enjoying an S660 really lets you experience driving pleasure in it's simplest form... If there's a new car to prove it doesnt have to be fast to be fun the S660 is it!

Although S660's are still a rare site in the UK we're sure they'll become ever so more popular over the years to come. The owner of this example decided to add a tasteful modification, a carbon fibre Mugen rear spoiler giving a more purposeful look. One of the best angles of this little rascal is the rear three quarter and with the added spoiler it looks wicked.

Less is more and on the open road theres so much tarmac to play with given this car is a mere 58.1 inches wide. To put that into context a Toyota Aygo is wider at 63.6 inches! It's light on it's feet too, coming in at less than a tonne, the 830kg kerb weight certainly helps to make the car turn in positively.

Equipped with Honda's 63bhp, 660cc engine, this isn't the sort of car that will catch you out. With it's tiny S07A turbo whistling away behind your head and the wind in your hair 50mph feels like 100mph meaning you can have big thrills without getting into trouble.

Being under the Kei car regulations an S660 isn't going to break the piggy bank when it comes to running costs, you really could use one of these as a daily... so if you're looking for a JDM car which needs to be fun, unique, reliable and will make you and everyonearound you smile then look no further.
