QJUTSU - Japan's Answer to Ceramic Coating!

If you're a fan of detailing products, Soft99 are a brand you maybe familiar with. Their products, typically in bright and colourful packaging, offer some awesome alternatives to the more traditional detailing brands whilst doing an excellent job of over-performing at their price point.

One of their newest lines that you might have missed is the Qjutsu ceramic coating's, a series of comprehensive kits designed to provide the ultimate in protection to your vehicle's paintwork that can easily be applied at home, or by a professional application centre.

We were recently contacted by the proud owner of a brand new GR Yaris who wanted us prepare it for UK roads with our underbody Dinitrol treatment. He was also keen to protect the exterior paintwork for years to come with a quality ceramic coating. We were more than happy to oblige!

n a world that's saturated with ceramic coating products, all of which make bold claims, what makes Qjutsu unique?

Well, you might be interested to learn that Japan is one of the only countries in the world that has an independent body which ensures any claims about cleaning products are substantiated. Simply put, if you claim your cleaning product does something for a certain amount of time, then it scientifically has to be proven.

Breaking from their typical packing, Qjutsu comes in a rather understated white box, but don't let that fool you. These kits are very much in keeping with Soft99's usual thoroughness, with everything you need to apply, from the product itself, to applicators, cloths and even masks and gloves included.

The product we're using on the Yaris is the professional grade Qjutsu Body Coat Pro, a kit more aimed at certified application centres. As you coat the panel, it diffuses much faster than the rest of the range making it harder to keep track of where you've applied, but it offers a greater level of protection.

Other products in the range include the more DIY focussed Body Coat, as well as the Body Coat Matte whichis designed for use on surfaces other than painted ones (stainless steel or plastics, for example) and a rim specific coating, Wheel Coat.

Once applied, Qjutsu leaves a physical barrier on your paint, protecting against external factors such as UV, salt, tree sap or bird droppings, keeping your paint in the best possible condition whilst also providing a beautifully glassy, deep gloss. It also makes future washing a breeze, reducing dirt adhesion.
