
As you'll have gathered from all the motoring press coverage excitement about the Toyota GT 86 - and its Subaru BRZ twin - appears to be well deserved. One number that hadn't been confirmed up til now was the price, but Toyota has confirmed what we thought and announced a basic price of £24,995 for when sales start in June.

The Honda NSX is a true hero if ever there was one, so confirmation from Detroit that Honda will build a new NSX has to be news to cheer us all. They’ve sure kept us waiting though, the various supercar concepts over the years whetting appetites for a successor to the original all-aluminium NSX that so famously carried the personal touch of Ayrton Senna.

Hot on the heels of the web debut of the Toyota GT 86 comes the digital unveiling of its sibling, the Subaru BRZ. We already saw the BRZ in concept form just two weeks ago at the L.A. Auto Show, but we now get our first look at the production version of this rear-drive Subaru coupe ahead of its public debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. Predictably, the Subaru BRZ looks similar to the GT 86, but features a few styling cues the Japanese automaker believes are uniquely Subaru.
