Torque GT can act as an agent to purchase the car you want straight from Japan.
To get the process under way, either call or email to confirm that you would like Torque GT to act as your agent to purchase a vehicle in Japan. One of our experienced sales consultants will liaise with you about the specific etails of the vehicle you wish to import.
Once you are 100% happy with everything, we will require a refundable £500 deposit to start the process along with a completed order form. (Deposit can be made using credit/ debit card, cheque, bank transfer and cash). Once the deposit has been received, we will start actively searching for the vehicle you want.
We will thoroughly search all major auctions in Japan and even the smaller member's only auctions. Pictures, auction sheets and descriptions will be e-mailed/faxed to you so you can see exactly what you will be bidding on. Once we've confirmed your interest we will have our engineers check over it for us. As we are one of the largest importers of Japanese Performance cars into the UK our engineers are fully committed to providing us with the best levels of service.
If our engineers report is all clear only then will the bidding commence. If successful the £500 no longer becomes refundable and we have the car transported to our Japanese premises. A full "on the road price" can now be given which will be within your budget.
Full detailed pictures are then taken and emailed to you. Full details of extras (if any) will also be noted here. By this time the next available ship will be booked and your car will be on its way to the UK!! Shipping times vary but will average around 5-6 weeks.
Once we have an ETA at Southampton docks we will email
you as a much more accurate on the road date will now be
available to us.
Once your car has arrived at Southampton docks all
necessary paperwork and fees are paid for before
customs clearance. Once cleared the car is picked up and
transported to our conversion centre where its compliance
tested (IVA) as necessary. Once completed your car
will arrive with us at Torque GT where a full MOT (if older
than 3 years) and multi point inspection takes place. On the
road dates will from here be exact. A full professional
valet and any other preparation (e.g. alarm, body kit
fitment etc...) will also now be carried out.
You pay the full sale price once the vehicle is purchased in Japan.
You pay 15% of the full sale price as a deposit once the vehicle is purchased in Japan (Less the £500 fee already paid) Balance is due on collection in the UK.
